Wow, what a day today at work! I’m too exhausted to write much but I still want to take a moment to stop and think about Salzburg – end the day on a happy note!

The return home was difficult – from getting up at 3:45 a.m. for transfer to the airport, catching  a quick flight to Frankfurt, going through all the security checks, then sitting on a plane for 9 hours with at least three cranky kids, ending with an hour long line at US customs – it was too bad I couldn’t stay in Salzburg!

My friendly chauffeur to the airport informed me that it had snowed overnight in the mountains – the snow was visible on the mountaintops as the sun came up.
