Berlin in 11!

Preparations for my trip to Berlin continue – as I’ve stated before in this space, the vacation canNOT come soon enough. I’m looking forward to removing the “11” sticky note tomorrow morning and looking at the “10” all day long. Then single digits!

I’ve abandoned my efforts to pack everything only in one duffel bag. I could definitely do it but but then where would I put all the things (clothing and otherwise) I expect to buy in Berlin? I may do some vintage shopping – found a great article in The Guardian from 2011, highlighting ten of the best vintage fashion stores in Berlin. If any of my German readers have a favorite vintage store, please let me know – recommendations are very welcome. I did find a great dress for the Philharmonic concert last weekend at Banana Republic, a sexy, black Roland Mouret sheath, but I’ll still see what I find in Berlin. My hotel is on Berlin’s premier shopping avenue, after all, so I think it’s my duty to shop.

There’s another volcanic eruption on Iceland that has the potential to threaten air travel, but I refuse to even consider the chance that this will impact my ability to get to Berlin. Life just can’t be that cruel. So spew your lava and ash, Bardarbunga, I refuse to worry about your activity.
