Another visit to the #PhiladelphiaZoo shows how quickly the four lion cubs are growing up. They were very active this time but photographic conditions were almost non-existent – sun glare, reflections in glass, only an iPhone, no “real” camera – but I got a two cute (and shareable) shots of the cubs and one or two shots of real close-up big cats. I was just on the other side of the glass from Papa Makini but that shot is almost nothing but sun glare and I didn’t share it here – have to maintain some photographic standards!
I also shot lots of videos and the ones shared below are enjoyable, viewable despite sun glare and reflections and show a great play fight between two of the cubs. Enjoy!

This is the sweet older female lion at the zoo. I think I heard a keeper say she was around 20 years old but I can’t swear on it. She makes me a little sad because she’s all alone when lions are known to be such social animals, and it looks like she’s got a bit of an eye problem. But I’m sure the zoo is taking the proper care of her – I trust them like that.

A close up of one of the male tigers (born in 2012), either Dimitri or Wiz, as he paced back and forth in front of the glass right in front of me
