Today’s plan were mandatorily changed due to the weather, a light but still nasty, spitting rain. I had planned to hike Eagle’s Lake but without a bit of rain gear it was out of the question. (That’s what happens when you only have one night to pack, thanks to work. I forgot several things!)
I can’t complain about one bad weather day, though, after the near-miraculous string of good weather for all my vacations last year. So I made the best of it and had a lovely day anyway.
I drove through Arcadia one last time but all the lovely views were shrouded in fog. After a bit of reading, I left for Camden.
The bright spots of the two hour drive were the ever-present lupines and a really cool bridge observatory at the Penobscot Narrows.
Enjoy the pics, gray though they are, and the bright splashes of lupine color. 😊
