Breakfast at the OP

The first day back at work after a vacation is often (always, in my world) challenging.

For me, this was made more difficult since I will no longer be spoiled , as i was last week, with delicious 3-course breakfasts from The B&B at Oliver Phelps, in Canandaigua, Finger Lakes Region, New York.

I suspect my usual breakfast, oatmeal, won’t be very satisfying for the next few weeks.

Check out these menus and pics from last week’s stay!

Somehow I’ve misplaced the menu from Sunday, but here’s Monday’s:

Then on Tuesday,

I apparently lost the Wednesday menu too, but here’s Thursday, with food pics. Try not to drool… 😉

Breakfast pretzel, equals bretzel

Green eggs and ham!

And Friday,

Delicious lemon blueberry scone – so fresh and with a perfect texture

The blueberry was added just for me!

A warm oat cake with tart cherry sauce

And Saturday

Strawberry bread

The food was so delicious I was willing to try things I don’t normally eat, like poached eggs. But mixed into these cheesy grits, they were wonderful!

This blueberry peach crisp was added to the menu after my hosts learned they were my two favorite fruits

The food was fresh, local and delicious. The hosts were thoughtful and kind, and the house was lovely:

I just loved the gardening theme on the mantel

Original snowshoes!!

So when you visit the Finger Lakes, which I highly recommend, try to stay at the O.P., also highly recommended.
