We started the morning with a quick walk around the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood. Our guide, Jako, bought koeksister for us to taste, a local pastry, similar to a donut or perhaps a cruller (now that word suddenly looks “funny” to me, maybe I misspelled it), but with its own distinct taste.
