Lovely Ljubljana, Part 2

The driver who took me from Ljubljana to Bled on Wednesday asked me if I knew what Ljubljana (the word) meant. I confirmed I didn’t know. When he told me it meant “lovely”, I laughed and told him about the blog I had just posted, called Lovely Ljubljana. It seems I inadvertently stumbled onto a very apt title for my post.

Here, then, are more pics of Ljubljana, lovely in meaning and in reality. Enjoy!

One view of the famous “Dragon Bridge”.
It’s hard to tell which was the rain and which drops were the fountain.
I don’t know what these trees are but they remind me of the trees lining the river in Salzburg. Not the same but similar.
Another bridge across the Ljubljanica River, the obligatory lock bridge.
This open air market had the best fruit! The gentleman here was gathering cherries for me and of course I also bought blueberries, d’oh 😉
