The Trees at Blenheim

Another theme emerging from my day at Blenheim Palace was the beautiful, big, old trees found throughout the grounds. They were stunning! You don’t often see trees like that, where I live anyway, so I had to photograph them.

I’ve shared a few below. Enjoy!

The first tree to catch my eye, situated just behind the palace gardens.
Something about the trunk made me want to hug it. I didn’t – wouldn’t have been able to get my arms around it.
Found behind the Churchill Memorial Garden
A noticeable lean to the right but still obviously strong
Located in the Arboretum, this was such an amazing tree!
The girl in the picture gives a better sense of the sheer size of the tree, and shows that I wasn’t the only one photographing it. 😊
A yellow-rubber-ducky shape brought a whimsical feel to the shrubs surrounding the Italian Garden.
A tree clearly past its prime but no less beautiful; probably serving now as home to a variety of wildlife.
