Distant Distractions: The Pineapple

After reading about people doing their bit to help people in these difficult times (a woman in MD giving a cello performance on her porch each day, dog walkers providing free walk for dogs who’s owners can’t pay, etc), I realized I could do more. For the 3 readers of this blog, I can provide momentary distractions, kitten videos, previously unpublished puppy and baby pics, travel pics, spring pics, amusing anecdotes or thought provoking observations. (The former only on the best of days, I’m sure! 😉) It may not be a cello concert, but if it helps bring a momentary smile or chuckle to a reader’s face then I’m good with that!

For my first Distraction post, I’ll share a quick anecdote about life while working from home with cats. (Yes, I’m one of the lucky ones who is still working and getting paid. I’m grateful!)

During a conference call with the client today, Freckle puked right next to my computer, monitor and well within range of my speaker – thankfully it was muted at the time. (Cats throwing up is not a pleasant sound, lol)

Quickly cleaning it up, I noticed it looked very different than the usual hair ball or regurgitated good. It had weird specs of green! Moments later I saw and heard what I had previously missed.

Take a look! Volume up. And yes, after this video was shot Freckle threw up more green-flecked vomit. She won’t ever learn.
