Distance Distractions: Fitz & the PB Cups

I was un- or under-employed for almost two years during the Great Recession in 2008. I can honestly say that I’m truly grateful to be gainfully employed in these difficult times.

Still, I need to register a complaint about having to work from home. An occasional WFH-day is all good! Being forced to WFH for an extended period of time is a different story.

Parents with kids think it’s hard to be confined at home. Kids, you say? Ha! The pets are definitely harder; at least mine are.

When I’m home my cats expect to be the center of my attention. They don’t understand the whole concept of working, obviously. They step on my computer, the twitch of one tail can knock pens off the table, they sit right in front of my laptop so I cannot type. These are basic behaviors; it only escalates from there.

As an example, consider this video of my handsome, beloved Fitzy Boy, playing with my Reese’s peanut butter cup minis during a conference call. This episode went on for approximately 20 minutes (don’t worry, the video is only one minute, lol) and resulted in at least 6 PB cups scattered around the floor.

Enjoy!

Who knew PB cups could be so entertaining?

Fitzy Boy was here!
