4261 – Spring

Spring this year seems more spring-like than it has in years. It’s been years, decades actually, since I’ve lived in a neighborhood (and my own house) with so many buds, blooms and flowers and greens. I am loving it!

My own gardens are the source of surprise after surprise. The previous owner or owners made the most of the garden space in the yard.

Each week brings new discoveries. The exciting discovery of this week is the purple irises near bloom in the back yard. I have an unparalleled access to photograph the flowers. It’s fabulous!

The neighborhood is also full of surprises and very lovely.

Here are just a few pics from this week. I’ll post frequently so you can experience my super spring with me. Enjoy!

The neighborhood surprise of the week, a beautiful white-edged purple lilac bush.
A dogwood (I think) from my backyard
The irises have bloomed enough to show their color. I couldn’t be happy the previous owners planted purple irises. ❤️❤️
My own lupine plant! Especially proud of this one – I planted it and it’s still alive and blooming!
I picked these trees, planted them with help from my neighbor’s son. Very happy with the location I picked, now let’s hope they thrive there!
Dark purple lilacs from the Chepiwanoxet neighborhood.
