Hopping on and off

Nothing really went wrong today, so that’s a first for this trip! 🙂

I rode the hop on-hop off bus for the day and got a much better feel for the city, where things are, how I can walk there, etc.

By far my favorite part of the day was exploring Castle Hill by foot. Here are some shots but read on past the photos for more.

Beautiful yellow rose with pink-tinged edges

The next stop was a quick one at the Citadel where I took a few shots of the view. I’m planning to spend more time there tomorrow.

My second favorite thing of the day was cruising the Danube, a trip included in the price of the hop on-hop off tour. A bit chilly and breezy, the ride was exhilarating and the views were lovely.

A few more random pics for you:

Ended the day with a stop at New York Cafe, where I had a delicious goulash soup and a yummy piece of Sacher cake for desert. The cafe decor was absolutely stunning.

Until tomorrow, good night from Budapest! 😊
